Nigerian actors are set to showcase Nollywood on the global stage as the AGN partners with Canada's Windsor International Black Film Festival.
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced a partnership with the Windsor International Black Film Festival (WIBFF) in Canada, a move expected to give Nollywood greater international recognition.
According to the guild, the collaboration will provide Nigerian actors, filmmakers and other creative professionals with a platform to showcase their talent before a global audience. The initiative is also expected to create opportunities for networking, cultural exchange and international collaborations that could open new doors for the Nigerian film industry.
AGN President, Emeka Rollas, described the partnership as another major step towards promoting Nollywood beyond Africa. He noted that the festival will not only celebrate Nigerian storytelling but also expose local talents to filmmakers, producers and investors from different parts of the world.
The Windsor International Black Film Festival is one of Canada's leading platforms celebrating Black filmmakers and creatives from across the globe. AGN believes the partnership will strengthen Nollywood's international presence while creating more opportunities for actors to expand their careers beyond Nigeria.
